Take a trip...

I will be going to Germany for my job for a couple of months. This is real exciting for me because I have always wanted to go to Europe. I like reading about history. I am far from a history junky, but I do enjoy reading about it. One of the things about my trip I was looking forward to was maybe hooking up with an IFB Missionary and helping out a little bit as time permits while I am there. As I will have no transportation, he would need to be close to Munich. As of today, no luck so far. If I can't find any I will take some tracts with me and we'll see what happens.

If you know of any in or around Munich, please let me know how to contact them! PLEASE!!!

The hardest part is going to be leaving my family at home, so please pray for us while I am gone!

I guess you have noticed the adds on the site. As the price of EVERYTHING is going up because a few people control it, I am hoping that the site can generate a few dollars to pay its on way. To let y'all know, just because a website has an add on, doesn't mean they are making money! If a customer doesn't click on it and purchase something the website where the add is posted gets nothing. For example, I have some Amazon.com adds on the site. Since posting them, they have been clicked on 6 times, and one $8.99 book was purchased. This made iFBPreaching.com .36 cents. (Thank you for purchasing it by the way!) I wont see anything until I get $20 built up. So as you can see, it will probably be awhile before I see anything from it.

What I would like for you to do, if you would like to help, is make your normal purchases through my site to the online stores listed. If you are going to purchases something form Amazon or ebay (anyway), just go to my site first, then click their add, and then make your purchase! This cost you NOTHING!!!! I believe that is the best price of all!!! But by doing it you can help iFBPreaching.com! Also, if you would like to donate a dollar or two, you can do that through Paypal. It is a safe way to donate and its cost you nothing as well. I thank you in advance for your consideration in helping iFBPreaching.com out.

p.s.
While in Germany I will have a ton of time on my hands, so I am getting the stuff together for a complete website redesign. I have found a new (free) website template, and with a few modifications, it will be up in July! It will make the site easier to navigate and easier to view! I guess you can tell I am excited!!!!!

Work....

I am trying to update the site. This is a slow process. I am renaming all the sermon Mp3 files and uploading them, so they will be easier to track on the site. (for me anyway) I have recently came across a huge amount of old sermons from your favorite preachers of old (Maze, Sightler, Roloff, etc), and I can't wait to post them. With the limited time I have at home, because of work, I will get to it as soon as I can. I have also found Video of some of the preachers on this site. I will probably start a video page, so you can see & hear some good preaching. Hopefully I can get going on it pretty soon. I am also thinking of a total site redo. Just thinking....

I guess you may have noticed a few book adds on the site. I am also going to post a couple PayPal Donate buttons on the site. If you are a regular, you know this site is NOT about money! Unfortunately the gas price crunch is hitting home worse every week. I do not want to make money off of this site! I would like for it to pay for itself or at least help pay for itself. Like I said it is not a money making venture, but any help would be appreciated. I also know IFBer's are "thrifty." I know because I am to! With that being said I KNOW I won't make money off this site (haha). IFBer's are just careful where we spend our money. If you would normally buy something from a online store that has a link, it will help iFBPreaching.com If you would like to donate feel free. Just remember, iFBPreaching.com will always keep posting good preaching (Lord willing)!

I am probably rambling pretty good by now. It is way past my bedtime! So goodnight!

iFBpreaching.com heads into year 3!!!

As of the beginning of this Blog entry iFBPreaching.com is 22 hits away from 200,000! This just completely blows my mind! When the Lord placed the idea for it on my heart, I never imagined this website would have so many hits!

First, I want to thank the Lord for this talent He has given me. I have purposed not to become a website expert. I guess you can tell from the site. If I became a so called website expert, there would be an endless amount of information I would have to take the time to learn just to keep up with the net. I just want to use what the Lord has given me in the most simple and expedient manner possible. This has allowed me to concentrate on school (www.gcbi.org), the ministries we work in the church we attend, and my family. If you are a regular to the site you know over the past year I haven’t done allot. I hope in the coming year to add plenty of sermons for the edification of the saints.

Second, the reach of iFBPreaching.com in this second year on the web has truly amazed me. I updated the countries on the “Our reach” page tonight. We are up to 102 countries around the world. Every continent except Antarctica has been to iFBPreaching.com. I know that most of the countries are where missionaries from America are on the field. I hope that this website will encourage and strengthen them while they are serving the Lord on a foreign field. Also China is always one of the top five countries every month. This is an ecourgement to me. The underground church in China needs to hear the Word of God!!!!!!

Finally, I want to thank the preachers. For without them, this site would be pretty empty. These men of God preach their hearts out week in week out. They don’t do it for money or anything else this world can offer. They preach because they love God and the love people! They do not want to see anyone go to Hell! I pray all Christians would get a hold of that.

As we go into the third year of iFBPreaching.com, I make no promises. I hope I can update it more. I hope I can add more preachers. I hope I can do a lot, but I can’t promise anything. My work with the youth of our church, school, family and my time studying & meditating of Gods Word will take precedent.

Please tell others about iFBPreaching.com. Pastors tell your church members. Share this site with friends. It does no good when it is not in use. As you know, this website is not a money making venture. They are ads & I don’t beg for money. Everything, time & money, comes from God.

As I rap up this Blog entry, the hit counter is at 200,001. To God be ALL the glory! Thank you for visiting iFBPreaching.com. May God bless you is my prayer!

Pay for the Word? "2"

Recently all of James W. Knox sermons was pulled from biblepreachingarchives.com. Because all the sermons (except recent Mp3's from his website) were pulled, he got a bunch of email flak about it. He was even accused of being a money lover and such. Well nothing can be further from the truth.

After listening to Bro Knox for all these years, I believe without a doubt he is a man of his word. If he says that any procedes that come in from the sale of sermons go to sending Bible, tapes & books around the world. Then I know he is!!!! I have never listened to a preacher (other than my preacher) who does not worry about money as little as he does. He sat out from the beginning to make their ministry not to be about money. They never even pass a plate in ANY service. How many churches can say that! Plus you can still download all the sermons from BBC for the last 2 years for FREE!!!

My objection that I posted below was directed to these MEGA IFB churches whose wallet is fat and it "seems" they only want it fatter.

Besides If you don't want to pay. Crack open your Bible and do the study for yourself!

Why Baptist?

"Why do you feel the need to hang a shingle above the name “Christian” like baptist, IFB, etc.? Where are these titles supported in the Scriptures? "

This question was posted on the poll I have on the site. This question is asked with only modern church knowledge involved. Because if this person where to study just the least bit of Church History (and not the Catholic so called church), this person would see the need to hang a "shingle" over our heads.

Real quick, names like Baptist and Ana-Baptist where hung on certain groups of believers by people who where persecuting them!!!! So I consider it an HONOR to attend a Baptist Church because of the sacrifice men and women have paid because they would not bend on their belief in Jesus and what the Bible says.

If you would like to know more about Baptist history go to http://www.ifbpreaching.com/baptist_history.html
and listen to Jeff Faggart and others teach some real Church history!

Pay for the Word?

I just finished surfing the net for new sermons, and I found a few that I will listen to. I was amazed to find many IFB KJV Church website where you had to pay to download the sermons, or to get the sermon put on CD and mailed to your house. I can understand the latter. It cost money for the discs, computer operation, postage, etc.

The paying to download sermons is what I have a hard time with.

First, if your are preaching God's Word how can you put a price on it?
Second, only the biggest churches charge for their sermons...hmmm can you say money hungry. A big church with a big missions program can't afford a little webspace to post some sermons that anyone in the world can listen to at anytime? That sounds like missions to me! But they charge for it?
Third, I have been doing this for a couple of years now, and I KNOW it does not cost a fortune to post sermons on the net! I do all what I do out of my own pocket because I LOVE GOD AND WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME! AMEN & AMEN!!! He has given me a "talent" and I am going to use it.

I am not fussing about the evangelist who sell tapes to earn an extra few bucks to have gas money and fellas like that. I am only talking about these BIG IFB churches who have money coming in hand over fist and have a staff as big a the governor of Texas and are mortgaged up to their eyeballs because they went in debt to build this GIGANTIC MONSTROSITY of a church to get even more people coming in to pay for all of the above.

I'd like to know what you think!

My first time Preaching...

Well the Lord allowed me to get behind the sacred desk to preach during a regular church service. I had other opportunities in the past like, King's Kids each Wed. Night at our church and VBS nightly. The last night of which we had well over one hundred people in attendance. I was pretty nervous!!!

This was different. This was primarily my brothers and sisters who I sit in the pews with. It was thrilling. It was something that I never will forget!!! Most of all it was short!

Two things I noticed about this opportunity; one is the preparation. You can never prepare enough. I studied and studied. Went over it in my head fifty plus times. I went to church early just to preach the sermon to the empty pews. Through all this I was concerned that I would be WAAAY to long. I felt I would be hard pressed to fit it all in an hour. Once I got up there it was a different story. I finished in 24 minutes! I guess time slows down when you are having fun.

The second thing I noticed was how much the other preachers I have listened to affected the sermon. I listen to a lot of sermons, and I mean a lot. My favorite is my preacher, Ken Whitt. That is how it should be. If your preacher at your local church is not your favorite, then you should figure out why he is not your favorite. The preacher I have listened to the most over the years is James Knox of BBC Deland,FL. After listening to my self I could pick out a lot that I got from him.

I thank God though, for putting plenty of fine preachers that I can learn from in my path to help me grow in Him. Folks, there is plenty of good preaching out there, they are just to many luke warm "Christians" who don't want to listen.

If you are interested in listening to my first sermon go to:
http://www.biblepreachingarchives.org/William%20Caudle/
I still have not got up the nerve to post it to my site as of yet, but I haven't ruled it out either.

Pray for us as we endeavor to train our children in the things of the Lord, and that God would bless my wife and I with the strength we need to serve Him!
